The Call Center Deal Report

Business X Uses, Likes Business Y's Product / X Acquires Y

Here at the Call Center Magazine news desk, we get a lot of news items reporting on a company -- usually some vertical, say a bank -- using a telecom product/service company's products, usually some call center software. This isn't exactly hard news -- there's no new product, no dramatic shift in the market -- it's just a vendor announcing a successful deal with a client. Other times, we get news of small or foreign market acquisitions. Sometimes these are good opportunities to mention great products or services, but other times they're just not newsworthy. Now, there is finally a place for that lost deal news: The Call Center Deal Report.

Envision Telephony and San Diego County Credit Union
Seattle-based call recording and monitoring software maker Envision Telephony announced that San Diego County Credit Union, California's seventh largest, is using Envision's Click2Call suite, which consists of Quality Monitoring and eLearning applications. The credit union is pleased with the results.

Mercom and Microsense
Bangalore, India-based Microsense, a WAN and Wi-Fi provider, has made a deal with Lyndhurst, New Jersey-based Mercom to be the only Indian distributor of their call recording and evaluation systems.

DOW Networks and Avoxi Communications
Atlanta-based telecom DOW Networks has acquired the assets of Jamaica's largest licensed VoIP provider, Avoxi Communications. DOW Networks provides enhanced Voice over IP services to international businesses and call centers in over 30 countries. Both companies say they are pleased with the deal.

Nice Systems and Adams County Communications
Adams County Communications of Commerce City, Colorado made a deal with Ra'anana, Israel-based Nice Systems to record 911 calls in the Denver area.

Talisma, Five9, and Salesforce.com
Talisma says that Five9 has decided to use the Talisma Knowledgebase for its employees to look up answers to customer questions. Five9 came to Talisma via Salesforce.com's AppExchange, the so-called "iTunes for business applications."
