  • The 911-emergency call center in Pima County (Tucson), Arizona is hiring for eight agent positions.

  • Bloomington, Illinois-based outsourcer Afni is opening a 400-person call center in San Antonio, Texas.

  • Irish telecom company Imagine Communications Group will be opening a 300-person call center in Armagh, Northern Ireland.

  • Ontario-based outsourcer NuComm International is opening a 375-person call center in Wichita, Kansas to handle calls for telecom and cable clients.

  • United Airlines is closing its 120-person Barboursville, West Virginia call center in August. The center's agents, who handle United Airlines Mileage Plus calls, will be given the chance to transfer to a South Dakota center.
