Round Rock, Texas-based computer maker Dell is opening its fourth India call center and hiring 5,000 new workers reports the New York Times. The 1,000 person Gurgaon call center will open in April.

Some of the new jobs will be in manufacturing. Dell will begin making computers in India, hoping to increase its 4% market share of India's four million computers per year. The Times said that computer sales in India should shoot up to 20 million a year over the next few years.

Dell has 10,000 employees in India, many of them at the call centers in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Mohali.
