Redwood City, California-based Merced Systems, has released an upgrade their performance management software, Merced Performance Suite 2.7. The company says the upgrades to the Performance Suite allow customers to automate critical managerial tasks through additional pre-configured workflows and new offline features. There are also better data management capabilities, which reduce application administration.

The Performance Suite has two new configurable pre-built workflows. The Agent Development Process lets supervisors assign individual goals and track targeted performance improvements and the Performance Improvement Plan Tracking workflow collects performance improvement plan information for each agent, compares progress to objectives, and documents corrective action.

Merced says the system's new offline capabilities automate paper-based activities and provide more accurate documentation at reduced cost. Users can build detailed written evaluation sheets and scorecards and archive historical reports, online and on paper.

Two new data management capabilities included in Version 2.7 are Auto Schema Generation, which maintains underlying data models automatically to allow new data sources without manual data model updates, and Online Dimensional Updates, which mean data updates are automatic and never take the application offline.
