San Mateo, California-based software maker Enkata, announced the launch of Enkata 6, a new "Operational Performance Management" software package that the company says integrates and analyzes front and back-office customer lifecycle data to reduce operational costs while simultaneously increasing customer satisfaction.
Enkata has designed Enkata 6 for specific vertical industries. The company offers a suite of applications for financial services, and a new module for health insurers that addresses the operational challenges of Consumer Directed Health Care (CDHC) plans.
Enkata co-founder Ronald Hildebrandt: "Insurers, telecommunications and retail banking organizations face significant challenges maintaining quality service while keeping operational costs at bay. CDHC, in particular, requires that health insurers improve their customer facing operations to address the significantly higher service expectations."
Enkata 6 is the first release that offers financial services applications designed to address the needs of the dynamic and complex retail banking organizations. The company says the new suite helps retail banking institutions to identify costly operational failures that can lead to dissatisfaction, customer churn and unwanted calls.
The healthcare module was designed for insurers coping with the increased operational complexity and growing service requests that CDHC plans bring. The new module uses Enkata's entire suite of health insurance-specific applications to provide a holistic view of CDHC plan performance, to give health insurers a clear picture of the medical cost, profitability and member satisfaction of this fast growing plan segment.
