AudioCodes, a provider of Voice over Packet (VOP) technologies and voice network products, announced the release of SmartWORKS IPX, its new IP-PBX packet filtering product for the call recording market.
The IPX is the first product introduced from a new IP-focused family of call recording products. Subsequent products from this family, they say, will include a combination of technologies from AudioCodes and Ai-Logix, a manufacturer of voice recording hardware who was acquired by AudioCodes.
SmartWORKS IPX passively monitors and collects voice packets in the IP-PBX environment and reports D-channel data to the customer's application through the SmartWORKS API. The initial release supports Cisco and Avaya IP-PBX systems; they hope to include more by the end of 2006.
"The IPX builds on our SmartWORKS NGX product providing the same call event capturing capabilities," says Andrew DuMont, VP of Engineering, Blade Business Line, AudioCodes. "This enables our customers to quickly migrate their SmartWORKS™ NGX applications to VoIP environments."
"The IPX provides our customers with the ability to build IP-PBX call logging systems without relying on the PBX manufacturers' tools," says Scott Wooster, Product Manager for the Blade Business Line, AudioCodes.
