Technology company, Dialogic, announced that Microsoft has certified Dialogic IP Media Gateway products for use with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 with unified messaging.
The addition of unified messaging to Exchange Server 2007 provides a common inbox for email, voicemail and fax messages, plus access to those messages as well as calendars and contacts from a variety of clients and devices anywhere in the world.
Dialogic gateways provide the audio and signaling link between legacy PBX voice systems and the IP based Exchange Server. This gives customers the ability to use the unified messaging features without converting their entire voice infrastructure to an IP based system.
"IP media gateways are a key ingredient needed to link the enormous installed base of legacy PBX voice infrastructure to the converged voice and data infrastructure where Microsoft Exchange 2007 lives" stated Jim Machi, VP of Marketing for Dialogic. "Our gateway portfolio has performed exceedingly well in lab tests and Microsoft's early adopter programs, unlocking the unified messaging benefits of Exchange Server 2007 for enterprises with legacy PBX voice infrastructure."
